Monark 828E VO2 Submax Ergometer
The Monark Ergomedic 828E is the successor to the 818E. It features a new softer design, a completely housed 22 kg (48 lbs) flywheel, and a strengthened frame. The electronic instrument shows effective output in watts and heart rate using telemetry. The Monark pendulum balance ergometer is widely used for fitness testing. The electronic meter displays pedal turns per minute, heart rate, cycling time, speed, and distance. Braking power can be set, giving a reading of calorie consumption and power in watts. The pendulum balance is easy to calibrate and the braking is mechanical via a belt around the wheel. The frame is stable with square tubing, and the bike includes chestbelt and PC software for accurate fitness tests.
